Here is today’s update on what’s been going on at AMTSO over the last few weeks.
Every year we hold elections for our Board of Directors, which is structured so that three of the nine places are up for renewal each year. This year, thanks to several former Board members resigning or moving on, there were five places up for the vote, of varying durations.
This is the first entry in what we plan to be a regular series of posts detailing what’s been going on at AMTSO over the last few weeks.
The May 2018 AMTSO member meeting was held at the “Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Portland”, in Portland, OR, USA, on May 21st and 22nd, ahead of the 2018 CARO Workshop held in the same venue and organized by AMTSO.
There are FIVE positions up for election in our 2018-06 Board of Directors election. These positions will be filled from those with the highest numbers of votes among the nine candidates running.
After over two years of work, AMTSO has adopted its first full Standard!
Since the approval of v6.1 of our Draft Standard and the move to Public Pilot phase after our Beijing meeting, the SWG has continued to work on improving and adjusting our master Draft Standard to incorporate issues raised and discovered since Beijing.
AMTSO holds member meetings twice a year, with between 35-60 member representatives getting together to discuss the latest issues in testing and AMTSO’s work to improve things. This post details how our meetings operate, as a guide for those attending for the first time.
All of AMTSO’s activities are overseen and guided by our Board of Directors. This post gives some background on how the Board operates, and details the upcoming Board elections.
